These routes are suggested for WW quickie or meetup rides. They start from the Richmond Green Library at the corner of Leslie and Elgin Mills Road. This is probably the shortest driving distance from the Yonge Street axis of the city which offers routes that are essentially 100% in the countryside. For example, the driving time from Yonge and Lawrence was 22 minutes during an early Sunday morning drive in May 2015, and 30 minutes during a rush hour Monday morning drive in April 2015. These routes have not been planned for use at any particular time of the day. Thus, we have not organized them with a designated lunch or other refreshments stop. However, there are options in the Musselman Lake area and in Mt. Albert.
These routes may also be used as a fallback on a day when the weather is questionable, so that a drive further out into the country is very unappealing.
Facilities are available at the gas station/Tim Horton's at the south west corner of Leslie and Elgin Mills Road, at the Home Depot across the street from the Richmond Green Library, and in the Richmond Green Library when open.

Caution note: going west on Vivian Rd the Medium route, there are currently (early April 2016) a large number of very deep potholes. It will probably be necessary to ride single file and well out into the lane in order to avoid them. Be very careful. They are a serious hazard!

There are three nearby coffee shops or restaurants where you can go for a post ride coffee and gab. The Sunset Grill is in the shopping centre across from the library. It has an all day breakfast menu, and it also serves burgers and salads. There is a Kelsey's. It's also is in the shopping centre across from the library (although it only opens at 11). Lastly, there is a Starbucks in the shopping centre on the south side of Elgin Mills Road about 500 metres west of Leslie (1241 Elgin Mills Road East).
