The Toronto Bicycling Network has been an enthusiastic supporter and participant in Toronto Bike Month since its inception. Here are some events TBN volunteers are organizing to help celebrate Bike Month as well as some other Bike Month events organized by the city and other groups that are too good to miss.

| Description: | Join an annual tradition! Pick up a free T-shirt and participate in the City of Toronto's marquee Bike Month event. Meet at 7:00 a.m. at either Yonge & Lawrence, Bloor & High Park, or Danforth & Woodbine, and then converge on Yonge and Bloor at 7:30 a.m. for a ride down to Nathan Phillips Square for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Note: this year there are eight additional community starting points -- please check the city web site. Free pancake breakfast (hot pancakes, fruit, coffee, croissants) provided by the St. Lawrence Market. These rides are staffed with Cycling Ambassadors, Emergency Medical Services, and Police. | Description: | A 25 to 30 km route heading south to the Martin Goodman Trail, west to High Park, north to Davenport, then east back to the start. Cancelled if there's moderate to heavy rain. Otherwise, meet for a 6:30 p.m. departure in East Riverdale Park, north of Gerrard St E on the west side of Broadview Ave near Bridgepoint Health. |

| Description: | Cycle west along the waterfront bike trail, up the Humber & down through High Park followed by drinks & dinner at the Real Jerk, which has the best Jamaican food in the city! Meet in Riverdale Park just north of Bridgepoint Health Centre (on the west side of Broadview north of Gerrard) for a 6:30 departure. Don't forget lights, helmet and lock. Also, bring a jacket since it may be cool down by the lake. Ride cancelled if raining. |

| Description: | This week we leave from the Grenadier Cafe in High Park promptly at 9:30am for a brisk morning ride that will return between 12 and 1 p.m. We plan to ride to the Starbuck's coffee shop at Port Credit, mostly using the lakeshore trail (roads and paths). About 35 km. Grenadier Cafe, High Park is due south of the intersection of Bloor St. West and High Park Ave. |

| Description: | This 30 km ride will include the Humber, Eglinton and West Deane Park bike trails, as well as the quiet residential streets of the Royal York area. Meet at 6:30 p.m in the parking lot of Etienne Brule park, around the corner and down the hill from the Old Mill subway. |

| Description: | Cycle the waterfront bike trails followed by drinks & dinner on one of Toronto's BEST patios at Splash which overlooks the lake and features amazing pizza from a wood burning oven! Afterwards, we'll dance under the stars at Luminato's Free Opening Night Celebration. Meet in Riverdale Park just north of Bridgepoint Health Centre (on the west side of Broadview north of Gerrard) for a 6:30 departure. Don't forget lights, helmet and lock. Also, bring a jacket since we'll be outside on a patio & it may be cool down by the lake. Ride cancelled if raining. |

| Description: | Kick off the weekend with this brisk-paced 35km social ride suitable for Easy Rollers. Meets at 9:15 for a 9:30 a.m. sharp departure and returns by 12:15 so you can do your Saturday errands or relax over an apres ride snack or lunch. Start point is the Boardwalk Pub just east of Coxwell & Lakeshore in the eastern beaches area. |

| Description: | Parks and river banks is the theme of this scenic tour. Ride through two parks and along two river banks to lunch in Mississauga, with a return along the Waterfront Trail. $5 non-members fee waived. Helmets mandatory, as always. |

| Tue-Jun-14 | TBN Tour de Dufflet |
| Description: | Inspired by Dufflet's generous tour offer during Bike Month, the route visits three Dufflet locations. There is a $5 registration fee, which Dufflet donates to charity. Much of the route is on bike paths, but there is some street riding. Helmets mandatory (as always.) |
| Location: | Meet for a 10:30 a.m. departure at the Dufflet at 2638 Yonge Street (5-1/2 blocks south of Lawerence subway station). This tour is suitable for Leisure Wheeler class riders. The basic tour is 39 km in length and ends near Queen and Bathurst. The optional return route to the starting point on Yonge St makes for a 49 km ride. |

| Description: | Join us for a 30 km ride through the parks and neighbourhoods of East York and Scarborough. Apres will be a BBQ in the Sideen's back yard. Meet in the parking lot at Taylor Creek park for a 6:30 PM start. NOTE DIFFERENT START LOCATION. The parking lot for Taylor creek is on Haldon Avenue, which runs North off of Cosburn Avenue, one block East of Woodbine Avenue. Bring lights and helmets. $5 non-member ride fee waived for this event. |

| Description: | In honour of the Taste of Little Italy Festival we're doing everything Italian tonight! We'll cycle the Beltline trail to La Paloma (the best Italian gelato in Toronto!). Afterwards, we'll check out the Taste of Little Italy street festival - with great entertainment & lots of wonderful food! We'll end up at California Sandwiches for the absolute BEST veal sandwiches anywhere! Meet in Riverdale Park just north of Bridgepoint Health Centre (on the west side of Broadview north of Gerrard) for a 6:30 departure. Don't forget lights, helmet and lock (and appetite)! Also, bring a jacket since we'll be outside. Ride cancelled if raining. |

| Description: | The Saturday morning ride will start from the Etienne Brule Park (located at the junction of Old Mill Rd and Old Mill Dr (around the corner and down the hill from the Old Mill subway station.) Please be there at 9:15 for a 9:30 am roll-out, to start a brisk morning ride that will return between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. We plan to follow the Humber River Trail upstream to Humber College for a coffee break and return by a slightly different route. About 40km. Please check your bike before arriving at the start and have your membership card handy. Non-members are welcome, and are required to sign a ride waiver. During Bike Month (June) the usual non-member fee of $5 is waived. Helmets mandatory as always. |

| Description: | The lower Don, a bit of the Martin Goodman Trail, and a couple of small parks paralleling the long-buried Garrison Creek. All but a few metres of the route is paved; some street riding. |

| Description: | The WNR is a 30 km social ride suitable for Easy Rollers and Tourists. Meet at 6:30 pm in Riverdale Park just north of Bridgepoint Health Centre (on the west side of Broadview just north of Gerrard). This week's ride will head north for a tour of the Bridle Path. The route has been adjusted to avoid the construction at the Don Trail and Pottery Road. Don't forget lights, helmet and lock. $5 ride fee waived for Bike Month, but non-members must still sign our waiver at check-in. |

| Description: | Get your weekend off to a GREAT start!! It's MUCH Better than Speed Dating!!! This is an official Bike Month Event so there will be lots of potential new members(/dates???). This week we'll cycle through parks & quiet residential streets to the Scarborough Bluffs for romantic sunset views and a pizza dinner in the park! Followed by some cold beer on a patio! Meet in Riverdale Park just north of Bridgepoint Health Centre (on the west side of Broadview north of Gerrard) for a 6:30 p.m. departure. Don't forget your lock, lights, helmet and a jacket as it may be cool by the lake. Ride cancelled if raining. $5 non-members fee waived for this event. |

| Description: | The Saturday morning ride will start at the Boardwalk Pub, on the Lake Shore east of Coxwell. Parking is available by the pub on the south side of Lake Shore, or on Coxwell. Please be there at 9:15 for a 9:30 am roll-out, to start a brisk morning ride that will return between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. We plan to ride to Guildwood Village, for a coffee break, mostly using the Martin Goodman Trail, paths and residential roads. About 40 km. Please check your bike before arriving at the start and have your membership card handy. Non-members are welcome, and are required to sign a ride waiver, but the non-member ride fee of $5 is waived during Bike Month (June.) Helmets are mandatory, as always. |

| Description: | Meet at Toronto City Hall at 6:30 pm. Our route will follow Beverley/St George/Poplar Plains to the Belt Line, Don Trail, the Martin Goodman Trail across the Waterfront. Bring your helmet and lights and dress appropriately. $5 ride fee waived for Bike Month, but non-members must still sign our waiver at check-in. |
