On Friday November 13, we will jump start the ice skating season with an indoor skate at Centennial Ice Galaxy, home to the Scarborough Figure Skating club. Phone is 416-396-4057. Cost $3.00 per person, seniors are free and the skating will be later than normal from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. though we might go out for a snack afterwards. The rink is at 1967 Ellesmere Road west of Markham Road at Dolly Varden. TTC info will be published soon. The first outdoor skate at the Natrel rink at HarbourFront is scheduled for the following Friday, November 20. We will skate until about 8:00 p.m. and go for dinner after -- restaurant to be decided by consensus. The Natrel rink is on the south side of York Quay Centre, on Queen's Quay just west of York Street. Take any streetcar from Union Station and get off at the third stop. Please note that the exact opening date for the Natrel rink is still unknown and if we get a warm snap, an alternative will be posted on the weekly update.
