I thought I’d post some information regarding the Martin Goodman Trail on the first snowy morning of the year as it may help fellow commuters decide whether to venture out or not! I understand that the city will be clearing some portions of the trail so I decided to check for myself.
The trail this morning was fairly icy from Logan to Parliament. The downtown bike path along Queens Quay was mainly clear of snow. From Bathurst to High Park the trail was icy in a few places however was mainly clear due to the snow being blown away . On the return trip into downtown I passed the snow remover going westbound near the Boulevard Club at 8:30am (that’s a bit late for the morning commuters!) The trail had been cleared all the way to the turn off to the Exhibition Gates.
