Hi
I am doing a comparison of different web based route sharing and ride analysis tools such as SportyPal, Ride with GPS, etc.
If anyone knows of a site could you please list it here to include it in my comparison
Thanks
Alan

You're right about the ad content on Map My Ride.... Pretty intrusive (obtrusive) unless you sign up for premium.
I'll have to try Bike Route Toaster as well, now.
I've put together a page with all my Bikely and MapMyRides versions of my archived rides: Cycling Maps
I've just added last night's ride.
For those who were at the ride last night and were curious about my ride animations, they're at the same site: Cycling Animations
Thanks for the feedback, there are some pretty good sites. Try Ride with GPS ( http://ridewithgps.com/ ). Not too many adds and pretty responsive. I've found Bikely to be really slow and Sports Pal does not allow you to create routes for download
I'm currently trying two sites, Bikely and MapMyRide. Bikely is less fancy, but MapMyRide is more ad-heavy.
Here's the 2009/08/28 TBN Friday Night Ride on each of them:

http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/on/-toronto/453125191843179865
Both let you upload GPX files, though MapMyRide also supports Google Earth KMZ files and direct download from your GPS, among other formats.
MapMyRide has more map features, like special obstacle icons, more map styles (including Terrain, which is great), while Bikely just uses the basic Google Map marers, and is limited to Map, Satellite, and Hybrid views.
MapMyRide also supports elevation views, training regimens, and so on, but much more of the screen is taken up with ads and promos unless you pay a subscription. Bikely is completely free.
Bikely has RSS subscriptions to new posts, organized by cities, provinces, or countries. Neither of them seems to have a public link to all your rides, even if you want them public. They both have a "My Rides" page, but that's only available to you while you're logged in.
A while ago I tried another one, but I've forgotten what it was now.
