FS: Giant Halfway 2010 (Black)

I've put about 125km on this bike as it was purchased in May. Includes the original purchase invoice with the balance of free tuneups and warranty until May 2011. I was planning on doing long tours with this bike without throwing a bike rack on my car (since it fits in the trunk and is good to prevent against theft), but I've decided to now sell the bike and look into building a custom bike instead. Since the upgrades, I've put about 50km out of the total 125km on it.

STANDARD:
8 Speed
SRAM MRX Comp Grip Shifter
Giant Comfort Saddle
Shimano 2300 Basic Groupset
Folding Pedals
Kick Standard
Kenda Kwest

UPGRADES:
Schwalbe Marathon Plus (Maximum Puncture Proof Protection)
Avid Speed Dial 7
Kona JS Primo Pedals
Axiom Rush-Air Frame Pump
Shimano 9 Speed Cassette
Shimano SLX Rear Derailleur
Shimano Deore Shifter
Shimano 9 Speed Chain w/ Quick Release
Bontrager Ergo Grips
Frame Cage (For Water Bottle)
Rear Stay Protector

The bike sells for $750 new and I've put over $500 in upgrades! So we're talking about getting a $1250 value here.

I'm selling the bike for $725 CAD. With the upgrades, the performance is very similar to a much higher end mountain bike. The SLX groupset, marathon racer schwalbe and tunable brake levers will make this a perfect commuting bike downtown or on leisure rides. The SLX rear derailleur shifts crisply and is a huge improvement over the stock one amongst the other upgrades. The Schwalbe tires really cushion the blows of hard cement and with its smartguard is almost impervious to sharp rocks and glass...

Reduced

I'll be willing to part with this for either $600 CAD or $425 back to original configuration without any upgrades (but I'll throw in the tires).
