Say farewell to those frustrating, forlorn, frumpy Friday nights - make way for fast, furious, fun with your Friday Night Ride (FNR) Coordinator Peggy! The FNRs are fast-paced, fun and incredibly social events! So, don't even think about coming out on these rides unless you're prepared to:

  • wear a "Hello My Name is" sticker on your tight/gorgeous bicycle butt™
  • engage in ridiculous ice-breaker games
  • learn (& practice!) dating survival tips
  • take in romantic sunsets
  • check out some of the coolest patios & hottest bars in T.O.
  • break from the ordinary: picnic on the island; have pizza delivered to the Scarborough Bluffs, visit little India, with lots more excitement to follow
  • enjoy complimentary massages
  • party in the most hopelessly romantic garden in Riverdale

Urban Cowboy

When: Friday, May 18, 2012 - 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Where: Southeast corner of Riverdale Park, at the water fountain

The longest Friday Night Ride ever.
We start at the usual spot in Riverdale Park, ride down to the lakeshore, and then ride up to Steeles Avenue and then back down to King's Park Souvlaki Place at 919 Pape Avenue. At 54 km this is the longest Friday Night Ride ever atempted. If you feel you're more of a farmhand than a cowboy, there's an optional 38km short route. Bring your membership card, helmet, lock, and lights, and dress warm.


Directions: Gather at the water fountain and benches in front of the wood house in the southeast corner of Riverdale Park at 6:30 PM, Friday, May 18, north of Bridgepoint Health Centre, west of Broadview Avenue.
Classifications: Easy Roller, Short Tourist
Distances: 38 & 54 km
